Heya space-fans(I've grown fond of that opening). CTF_Olympus is nearing completion and release and therefore I'm hosting a playtest wednesday the 18th of November(next wednesday) at the following time: * 12:00 US - Pacific
* 13:00 US - Mountain
* 14:00 US - Central
* 15:00 US - Eastern
* 19:00 Zulu / UTC
* 20:00 Great Britain
* 21:00 Central Europe
* 22:00 Eastern Europe It will be hosted on my own li'l server, which hasn't been tested with a full load of players before. If it crashes, we'll go ruin some pub servers instead :) The playtest is public and the map downloadable through the server. I'll set the server up early the day before and on the day, so you'll get plenty of time to get the map beforehand. I'm also inviting the SMEG guys and posting this on the ES forums. A lot of stuff going on with the site, these days. Kage Musha has made a brand new Chat function. This connects you directly to our IRC channel on GameSurge. If you're registered and logged in, you wont even have to type in a nick! Check it out, it's right below "Forum"! Nasp is working on a new design for the site and Kage Musha is going to set up a calender system as well! Will make event planning and signing up a whole lot easier! Finally, I've started up a resource section. This will be a collection of links to tutorials, hints and tricks you can use to optimise your ass-kicking skills in the various games. Currently only holds links for AOC and ES. Coming up: L4D, Insurgency and NeoTokyo! Stay tuned for more MAAAAAAAAAD additions! |

Some of you have probably heard about/noticed the new kids on the block - SMEG. These guys seem pretty serious and organised - perhaps our most organised opponents so far! That doesn't stop us from taking them to school, however! The match will be on Saturday the 19th of September at 10 pm GMT +2. That's: * 13:00 US - Pacific

... for [SMEG]! We took 'em down, down, down! The match started out late, after 30 mins of waiting for SMEG to get ready :( Even then, SMEG could only gather 4-5 people of the 17 they supposedly had signed. We divided our own forces into 2 teams of 4 so everyone got to play and, for once, we weren't fighting any of our own on the enemys team! Doing this, we played through 4 rounds on 2 maps and ended out with a 4-0 victory. Again. I think we also set the record for shortest round, some of them lasting no longer than around 5 mins. Despite the drawbacks, the match was great fun, and the SMEG guys seem to be fairly fresh, chatty and cool :) We're definitely up for a rematch if they want(noone ever seems to want a rematch, huh?), but they'll have to get organised first. Next match will probably be the newly started [S|I], if they can get enough peeps to play! |

A slightly different news post this time, but all the more joyous: This saturday, our very own Securition fell from our noble bachelor ranks! And what a fall! Utterly and completely in style! I'm not going to reveal any more, but the theme was very "heavy metal" ;) Pictures can be seen on the Fox One forum. Congratulations and well wishes from all of Fox One to you and Mrs. Securition! We'll see you when you return from New Zealand :) |
